Recognizing the immediate need for an integrated solid waste management system to ensure
proper handling of wastes in the country, the Government of Sri Lanka [GOSL) has formulated
National Policy on Solid Waste Management, and has now embarked upon providing solutions
for the final disposal of residual wastes resulting from the treatment of municipal solid waste
in the islands growing areas. The expertise for the project is drawn from the Government of
Republic of Korea

The identified project sites are in the districts of Galle. Polonnaruwa. Anuradhapura & Jaffna.
The positions advertised will be based in the PMU office in Battaramulla; however, frequent
travel for field related work will be involved.
The CEA wishes to invite applications from qualified and experienced candidates who are
citizens of Sri Lanka, for the following post. Appointments will be initially on contract basis for
a period of one year and further extendable depending on the performance.
Applicants should be below 65 years. Proficiency in English, familiarity with government
regulations and computer literacy are essential prerequisites.
