CIVIL ENGINEER 02 POSTS

The Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has obtained a Credit Facility from the International Development Agency on the additional financing of the ongoing Climate Resilience Improvement Project under the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources and Disaster Management.

The Climate Resilience Improvement Project for Sri Lanka is to reduce the vulnerability of exposed people and assets to climate risk and to improve Government's capacity to respond effectively to disasters. The additional financing will help the Government of Sri Lanka to finance the costs associated with the repair the disaster proofing of irrigation, flood control and road infrastructure that were damaged due to extreme rainfall in December 2014 and thereafter.

The Uva Provincial Project Implementation Unit (PIU) established at Provincial Road Development
Department. Badulla under the additional financing component of Climate Resilience Improvement Project and the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) intends to recruit suitable persons for the post of Civil Engineers on full time contract basis initially for one year renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance experience and invite applications from the citizens of Sri Lanka who possess the undermentioned qualifications and experience.

Qualification & Experience
01. A Bachelor's Degree in the field of Civil Engineering which is recognized by the University Grants Commission or having passed the intermediate examination of a recognized professional institute in the field of Civil Engineering and at least 05 years post qualifying experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
02. An officer of the Sri Lanka Engineering Services Class II or above or similar status in the field of Civil Engineering with at least 03 years experience in Class II.

Salary
Will be based on the Management Service Circular No. 01/2016 dated 24th March 2016, Amended Management Service Circular No. 1/2016(1) dated 16.12.2016 and Public Administration Circular No. 03/2016 and the Government Approved Cost of Living Allowance. The salary step will be decided on the qualifications and experiences of the candidates.

Other Benefits
The Contribution of the Employer for EPF is 12% and ETF 3% of the salary. The EPF contribution of the employee is 8% of the salary.
